Guadies
I’m still in the process of trying to secure more photos from my Montana trip- but I am definitely glad to be back bassing in Texas!
Having already been accused of now being a trout snob, thanks Dave- not true bro, I wanted to show off some pics of our State fish and to reaffirm to the unknowing that, yes… you can fly fish for bass. And even more over, yes you can fly fish in Texas! Strange huh?
Here are just a few pics of “Micropterus treculii,” the Guadalupe Bass, aka Guads, Guadie etc etc. Before comments go wild, yes some are unconfirmed or hybrids. However, there is no mistaking some with those patented diamonds strips. You have to love them because they are some great pound for pound fighters. More on the Guadalupe Bass can be found on Texas Parks and Wildlife. These pics come from last week and this past weekend on the Lower Colorado and San Gabriel rivers. Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by. Leave me your comments!
See you on the high ground,
AirborneAngler
